This weekend I did a little exploring of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario areas. The water levels have been rising in the Great Lakes, and I was curious to see the flooding in Olcott, NY. Krull Park, always a favorite of mine, is shut down for the summer due to the flooding. The beach is almost non-existent. The gates to the beach were closed, but you could still look down and see only about a foot or two of exposed rocks. On a good day, Lake Ontario looks almost like the Atlantic Ocean, but now it’s waters are a muddy brown for at least two miles out from the shore.
