Another Monday, another week. One week ago, I celebrated my 28th birthday. It wasn’t anything fancy or special, but rather a low-key relaxing day that gave me time to reflect. Change is something I always welcome, partly due to the fact that I tend to get bored with things every few months. Even in the last five years, we have moved four different times to different apartments and houses. The need for new fuels me, but is also hindering when it comes to nailing down the future.
With the change of seasons comes a change in my decision making as well. If you have been following along on this blog, you know about all of the struggles and successes I have faced in the starting of a business. I am still finding my footing, like a baby animal wobbling to walk for the first time. With business in mind, I have been grappling with the thought of where to take Morning Glory. I started this blog for fashion and music, but it has evolved into many topics over the past two years. While I love the concept of style, it’s often hard to talk about. I post photos of what I am wearing, include links to items if applicable and that is it. It seems pretty self explanatory, and it has come to a point where I no longer really discuss what I am wearing, because I never really know what to say. I’ve also put my style themed posts on the back-burner as I have been focusing more on marketing my photography, and expanding my writing. Sometimes I feel guilty for not posting as regularly as I used to, and I have decided to no longer put pressure on myself to post about things that don’t excite me as much anymore. I have decided to slowly fade out the style posts on Morning Glory, in favor of a new direction. What that exact direction is, I am not sure yet, but I would like to focus more on writing about my work as a photographer, as well as myself. As unnerving as it is to not have a set plan (I am a planner) I am excited and open to the possibility of transforming Morning Glory into something even more meaningful to myself and others.
Here is to new goals!
