Hello everyone! I am back after a long, and unplanned blogging hiatus. I have spent the last month planning new content, adventures, and working on my mental health. Now that Spring has finally sprung in Buffalo, my little waterlust heart is getting back out to some of my favorite spots.
As far as life goes, I will give you the rundown of things that have happened since I last left you. My calendar is filling up with so many exciting things for summer. Aside from contracted photo jobs and weddings, I am super excited to be photographing regattas and races this summer with the Buffalo Harbor Sailing club. I haven’t been on a boat since I left Boston (does the 2 minute bike ferry ride in Buffalo count?) and I am suffering from withdrawal.
I am also planning my next visit to Boston in the next month or so to do a little work and visit good friends. As far as my personal life, Chuck and I added a new addition to our family….a female mini lop rabbit named Sophie! We are currently in the process of bonding her with our male rabbit Loafer. While we are making progress, I can tell you that bunny bonding is no easy task!
Warmer weather has also brought joy to my life. Does anyone else feel like this past winter’s chill went on forever? The best part of Spring is finally being able to open the windows in my house after months of hibernation. That fresh air and outdoor smell fills the house and I feel like I can breathe again. The other night, Chuck and I went for a long walk along the trail at Broderick Park. The walkway is in the middle of the Niagara River, and although it was windy as hell, the temps were perfect and the skies were clear. Check out some of the photos below!
