It’s no surprise that Code Zero Sportswear has become my favorite sailing brand. For those who did not see my original post on on this nautical lifestyle brand, Code Zero sets itself apart from other sailing companies because their products are designed by professional sailors themselves.
Although we are still a few months out from the sailing season here in Buffalo, I wanted to showcase a few of my favorite items from the latest Code Zero collection. The Bannister Hoodie is an ode to Newport’s Bannister’s Wharf, which is also home to a Code Zero Shop. This past Summer I spent a weekend in Newport photographing the Candy Store Cup Superyacht Regatta, so I like to think of this piece as a friendly reminder of Newport and all of it’s glorious sailing activity.
The Moonraker Sweatshirt is another favorite of mine. I may be wearing jeans in these photos, but don’t be fooled. I basically live in lined leggings all winter long. The only thing better than a sweatshirt during the brutal Buffalo winters, is a long sweatshirt. This sweatshirt is the perfect length to wear with either jeans or leggings, and will be especially cozy to wear onboard Republic this coming sailing season.
Lastly, every Buffalonian (and sailor) needs a good jacket during the winter. For those days when the temperature is only ‘mildly’ freezing, the Furler Jacket does its job to keep me warm. Although Lake Erie is frozen behind me in these photos, Code Zero gear keeps the nautical vibes alive for me during the winter sailing hiatus. Check out the photos below!
